The DESCALER10 is a compact, low-maintenance solution for treating hard water in residential plumbing systems. Housed in a durable 10-inch Big Blue filter housing with a steel powder coated bracket, it comes pre-filled with 2kg of Siliphos crystals that help prevent limescale and corrosion in pipes, geysers, and appliances. Ideal for homes using municipal or borehole water, this system helps extend the life of your plumbing and heating systems.

Key Features:

• Reduces limescale and corrosion in household plumbing and appliances

• Contains 2kg of Siliphos crystals to condition hard water

• Prevents scale deposits in geysers, kettles, dishwashers, and washing machines

• Suitable for municipal and borehole water (borehole use requires water analysis submission)

• No electricity, salt, or backwashing required

• Installs neatly against a wall using the included steel powder coated bracket

• Simple maintenance: top up crystals as they dissolve over time

How It Works:

• Siliphos is a food-grade polyphosphate crystal that sequesters calcium and magnesium ions in water

• This prevents these minerals from forming hard limescale deposits on heating elements and pipework

• Water passes through the housing and over the crystals, treating it as it flows to your household supply

• Also helps reduce corrosion, particularly in older plumbing systems

Specifications:

• 25 mm female inlet and outlet ports (1 inch BSP) – compatible with standard plumbing and can be adapted to smaller sizes if needed

• Contains 2kg of Siliphos crystals

• Optimal flow rate: 1500 litres per hour

• Maximum flow rate: 3000 litres per hour

• Maximum pressure: 6 bar

• Crystals dissolve over time and must be topped up periodically based on usage and water quality

• In extreme cases with excessive lime, the crystals may melt together and cause blockages—if lime content is unusually high, a water softener may be a more effective solution

What’s Included:

• 1 x 10-inch Big Blue filter housing

• 2 kg Siliphos crystals in a refillable media housing (pre-filled)

• 1 x Steel powder coated wall-mount bracket with screws

• 1 x Wrench for easy housing access and maintenance

The DESCALER10 offers an efficient and cost-effective way to manage hard water without the complexity of traditional water softeners. Protect your pipes, improve appliance lifespan, and maintain consistent water quality—all with a system that’s simple to install and easy to maintain.

Parts and Consumables:

• Siliphos Crystals
• Filter cartridge for Siliphos Crystals

Disclaimer: Big blue filters are intended for fine filtration and limits apply to water quality and quantity. Have your water tested before installing a big blue filter to ensure that it is the right solution. It is important to note that the volume of water put through the unit as well as the quality of the water will greatly influence the lifetime of the filters.

The DESCALER20 is a high-capacity water conditioning system designed to reduce limescale and corrosion in homes or buildings with higher water usage. It features a robust 20-inch Big Blue filter housing filled with 5kg of Siliphos crystals and is mounted securely using a durable steel powder coated bracket. This system is ideal for households or small businesses using municipal or borehole water, offering chemical-free protection for pipes and water-based appliances.

Key Features:

• Reduces limescale build-up and corrosion throughout the plumbing system

• Pre-filled with 5kg of premium Siliphos crystals for long-lasting protection

• Extends the life of geysers, dishwashers, washing machines, and kettles

• Suitable for use with municipal and borehole water (borehole applications require a submitted water analysis)

• No salt, electricity, or backwashing required

• Installs neatly with a steel powder coated wall-mount bracket

• Low-maintenance system—just top up crystals as they dissolve

How It Works:

• Siliphos crystals prevent calcium and magnesium ions from forming hard scale by sequestering them in the water

• The treated water flows over the crystals inside the chamber, reducing limescale and corrosion without affecting water taste or quality

• Especially useful in older plumbing systems prone to corrosion or homes in hard water areas

Specifications:

• 25 mm female inlet and outlet ports (1 inch BSP), easily adaptable to other pipe sizes

• Pre-filled with 5kg of Siliphos crystals

• Optimal flow rate: 1500 litres per hour

• Maximum flow rate: 3000 litres per hour

• Maximum pressure: 6 bar

• Crystals dissolve over time and must be topped up depending on usage and water quality

• In rare cases with extreme lime content, the crystals may melt together and cause blockages—if lime levels are excessively high, a water softener may be more suitable

What’s Included:

• 1 x 20-inch Big Blue filter housing

• 5 kg Siliphos crystals in a refillable media housing (pre-filled)

• 1 x Steel powder coated mounting bracket with screws

• 1 x Wrench for housing maintenance

The DESCALER20 is the ideal solution for larger households or light commercial applications needing a reliable, eco-friendly way to prevent scale and corrosion. Easy to install and maintain, it offers long-term protection for your plumbing and appliances without the need for harsh chemicals or electricity.

Parts and Consumables:

The CBB-3N-DES is a comprehensive 3-stage water treatment system designed to reduce sediment, remove chlorine, and prevent limescale build-up—all in one powerful setup. Ideal for whole-house applications using municipal or borehole water, this unit combines a 50-micron sediment filter, a carbon block filter, and a descaling stage with 5kg of Siliphos crystals. It is housed in three durable 20″ Big Blue filter housings, securely mounted to a heavy-duty steel powder coated bracket.

Key Features:

• 3-stage water treatment: sediment removal, carbon filtration, and descaling

• Significantly reduces rust, sand, chlorine, odours, and visible particles

• Prevents scale build-up in geysers, taps, kettles, dishwashers, and washing machines

• Pre-filled with 5kg of Siliphos crystals for effective scale and corrosion control

• Ideal for both municipal and borehole water (borehole water requires analysis submission)

• Easy wall-mounted installation using steel powder coated bracket

• Chemical-free system that requires no electricity or salt

Stages of Water Treatment:

• Stage 1: 50-micron sediment filter removes larger particles such as sand, silt, rust, and dirt

• Stage 2: Carbon block filter reduces chlorine, odour, taste, and organic contaminants
